Steve Plessinger is a lifelong Hoosier, calling the hills of southern Indiana home. Steve began his musical journey playing in early bands Junior Lewis and Mykelti, then took a few years off when his children were born. In 2009, Steve took to songwriting in his spare time, writing dozens of songs over the years with elements of Americana, folk, blues, country and rock. Playing in coffee shops and bars, Steve formed The Steven Thomas Band and began sharing these songs with audiences around his hometown of Bloomington, IN. After a brief hiatus, Steve formed The Warm Bloods with Mike Stogdill and Joel Woodcock and they released their independent debut “The Warm Bloods EP” in June, 2016. “Never Mind the Ghost” followed in January, 2018, featuring 6 new songs penned by Steve. Coming July, 2021, Steve will release his debut solo album “Time Wasted,” featuring talented musicians including Nashville recording artist Brian Allen (bass / cello), John Bowyer (mandolin) of The Hammer & The Hatchet, and many others.
“Personal experience, dedication to form and craft, and the confidence to draw wisely upon each of them distill into something as mature and refined as a prized bourbon.”
